Sprinkler System Installation

Before sprinkler system installation occurs the area should be thoroughly surveyed. Other pipes and lines should be identified before any digging occurs to prevent expensive leaks. Gas lines, water lines and fiber optic cables are all buried underground and are expensive to repair or replace.

A lawn that goes right up to fences and buildings can be trimmed back a few feet before sprinkler system installation. Watering a lawn right by a fence and house can quickly damage the house and fence requiring costly repairs. If the lawn is trimmed back before the system is installed there will be no problems and there will also be less lawn to water which conserves water.

Connecting the pipes to the water main is the most difficult part of sprinkler system installation.  If special valves are not used it can be very difficult to connect a timer or automatic valve. A lot of landscaping companies claim to be experts at installation even though many never have installed one. It is important to find an experienced installer if a professional is hired.
