Irrigation Sprinkler
An irrigation sprinkler is the preferred method for watering large areas such as fields and crops. They typically have impact sprinkler heads installed for a large watering area. Many are installed on raised pipes that can be moved from location to location for watering. Many are connected to a central pipe that allows the sprinkler pipes to rotate around the center irrigating a circular field.
An irrigation sprinkler can put out a lot of water in a short amount of time so it is important to adjust the water pressure and flow time to accommodate. A sprinkler auditor can check for damaged pipes and valves make recommendations for improvements and repairs as well as watering schedules for the inexperienced irrigator.
An irrigation sprinkler can be improved by upgrading the sprinkler heads to more modern designs which conserve water and by adding a filter before the sprinkler pipes. A simple screen filter can extend the life of the pipes but more importantly it prevents the heads from getting clogged by small rocks and fresh-water snails that are common in many water supplies.
